Stephen J."Pete" Dalina, 83, of Fords, passed away on October 5, 2013, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Pete was born in Keasbey and lived his entire life in Fords. After college, Pete served in the US Coast Guard. He was the former owner of Dalina's Tavern in Fords, Ex Chief of the Fords Fire Company, Woodbridge Township Council President and Middlesex County Freeholder Director. He also was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords.
Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Eleanor (Kociban), his sons: Gary and his wife Elizabeth of Fords, John and his wife Ruth of Phoenix, MD, Richard and his wife Carol of Fords, and Stephen and his wife Susan of Monroe Township. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Catherine Satterthwaite, Sean, Christine, Kevin, Katelyn, Stephen and Jayson Dalina; his great-grandchildren: Evan and Hailey.
Funeral services will be held 9:45 AM on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, with a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery, Hopelawn.
Viewing hours will be held on Monday, October 7, from 7:00-9:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 8 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.
