Stephen Richard Bonick's Obituary
Stephen Richard Bonick, 78, of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at Parker Monroe on Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was born in Scranton, PA, on October 22, 1937. Steve was employed by the US Post Office for 50 years, retiring in 2007. He was a veteran of the US Army; a member of the Knights of Columbus; and an active participant in barbershop harmony.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Joan Bonick; his three sons: Stephen, Michael and Andrew Bonick; his daughters, Sharon Gallagher and Joanie Valentine and their spouses; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Marie McHale, Ann Washko and Linda Henderson.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 24, at 10 am at St. Barthomolew's Church, 470 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
