Stella Caruso (nee Wojtkiewicz), 83, of Metuchen, died June 20, 2011, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She was born in Nutley on May 7, 1928. She lived in Metuchen for the last 26 years and prior to that in Newark.

Stella is predeceased by two brothers: Vincent and Charles, and a sister, Mildred. She is survived by her daughter Karen Loffredo and her husband Nick of Edison; son Mario Caruso of Edison; four grandchildren: Victoria Gahr and her husband Shawn; Lauren and her fiance Elkan Cahl; Jason Caruso and his wife Hilary, and Mario Caruso; two great-grandchildren: Lea and Emilia, and her companion of over thirty years, Silvio Roncaioli of Metuchen.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm at the FLYNN AND SON/KOYEN Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840. Funeral Services will begin at 9:30 am on Friday, June 24, 2011, at the funeral home followed by a 10:15 am Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen.
