Stanley Richard
Goldstein
Jan 2, 1944 — Jan 14, 2021
Stanley Richard Goldstein, 77, of Clark, passed peacefully on Thursday at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born on January 2, 1944 in Newark, NJ, he had resided in Edison for over 50 years, before recently moving to Clark.
He had been retired several years, after over 47 years as a shipping and receiving manager with the Newark Star Ledger, working in both the Newark and Piscataway plants.
He was an avid bowler, once bowling a perfect 300 game.
Stan was a wonderful father, that regardless of the crazy hours he worked, would always be there for his children. He never missed their activities, as he always made it a priority to be on hand at Jeff's football and baseball games and Tracey's cheerleading and dance events.
His beloved daughter Tracey writes; "Oh Daddy, with a full heart we say goodbye. I was definitely "daddy's little girl" and partner in crime when it came time to take a ride somewhere, anywhere. Jeff and I couldn't have wished for a better dad, whose unique sarcasm, playfulness, and teachable moments, kept us all grounded and laughing. You always had a smile and that quick wit for all. It warms my heart to know that Matteo, Luca, Jeremy and Micah got to know the best of you as their grandpa. You will be so terribly missed."
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Jack and Charlotte Goldstein.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Harriet Goldstein, his daughter, Tracey Dalla Chiara and his son-in-law, Alberto, of Venice, Italy, his beloved son, Jeffrey Goldstein and his daughter-in-law, Monica, of Weston, CT, and his four dear grandchildren, Matteo, Luca, Jeremy and Micah.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at 12 :30 pm at Beth Israel Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodbridge. Arrangements are under the direction of the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords NJ 08863.
