Solamina Acosta of Perth Amboy died Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Raritan Bay Medical Center. Born June 11, 1945, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, she resided in Perth Amboy over 40 years. Solamina was a lunch aid at the James J. Flynn School for 22 years in Perth Amboy and a communicant of La Asuncion Church. Her family said of her, "during her life, she was an angel on earth and she will live in our hearts forever."
She was predeceased by her parents, Julio and Julia Camacho; son, Antonio Jr.; brother, Julio Camacho Jr.; and sister, Carmen Camacho.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Antonio Acosta; daughter, Diana Acosta Quintanilla; sons, Daniel Acosta and Luis Antonio Acosta; grandchildren: Cristian Gabriel, Carlos Javier, Daniel Jose, Gabriela, Luis Alexander and Ariana; brothers, Rene and Felo Camacho; sister, Nora Camacho; and godson, Angel Salva.
Funeral services will begin Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 9:00AM from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM at Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at La Asuncion Church. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00PM at the funeral home.
