Obituary

Shirley (Harris ) Kelly Kratzar, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at home, surrounded by her loving family .

Born in Perth Amboy , she resided in South Amboy for 10 years , and then Edison. She was predeceased by her first husband, John J Kelly, her second husband, Joseph A. Kratzar, and  her beloved parents; George and Ruth Harris.

Shirley  graduated from Perth Amboy High School, and the American Institute of Banking. She started a career in banking, first for the Perth Amboy Savings Bank, and then the New Brunswick Savings Institution. She then worked for, and retired from, the Edison Township Board of Education as an Executive Secretary.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Jill Kelly Bray of Cumberland, Maine, Jackelyn Heim and husband Richard Heim of Cranford NJ, her beloved twin sister, and best friend, Nancy H Vasil of Perth Amboy, her loving sister, Pamela Hicks and husband James, of Fords, NJ, and beloved brother, Leonard F Harris and wife, Roberta of Arizona.
She is also survived by her five loving grandchildren whom she adored. Ryan and Connor Bray of Cumberland, Maine, Nicole, Morgan and Matthew Heim of Cranford, NJ.
Shirley's favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave Fords NJ 08863.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday morning, beginning at 9 am at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in Fords.
Interment will follow in the Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy, NJ.
In lieu of flowers , donations may be made in Shirley's memory to the American Heart Association or a charity you hold dear in your heart.
