Obituary

Sherry A. Latkovich, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 52.

Sherry had a deep love for animals and surrounded herself with them throughout her entire life. Her beloved Rottweilers, Lugar, Brody, Diesel, and Kaison, along with her cherished cats, were much more than pets; they were family. The companionship and love of animals brought her happiness throughout her life, and her affection for them was a reflection of the caring heart she carried with her.

Sherry also loved the beach, where she found a special kind of happiness. She enjoyed renovating her home, spending time at the Red Bank marina, and hosting family barbecues in her backyard, where food, laughter, and time together created treasured memories. She had a particular love for all things 1980s, a passion that reflected her fun-loving spirit and appreciation for the things that made her smile.

Known as the jokester of the family, Sherry had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making people laugh. Her wit, playful personality, and ability to bring laughter into everyday moments made her a memorable presence in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She had a way of making ordinary moments special, and her humor and laughter will be deeply missed.

For many years, Sherry owned and operated her own plumbing business, something she took great pride in and that was an important part of her life.

Above all, Sherry cherished her family, especially her niece and nephews, Justin, Jacob, and Cadence. She adored them and held a special place in her heart for each of them. They brought her tremendous joy, and the love she had for them was immeasurable.

Sherry is survived by her loving parents, Robert and Carol Latkovich; her sisters, Lori Baker and Karen Lurker; her brothers-in-law, Jeff Baker and Larry Lurker; and her beloved nephews and niece, Justin, Jacob, and Cadence Lurker and her partner Mike.

Though Sherry's passing leaves a profound sadness for those who loved her, the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she brought to her family will live on. She will be remembered for her love of animals, her happy days at the beach, her sense of humor, her independent spirit, and the unmistakable personality that made her one of a kind.

She will be forever loved and deeply missed.

Private cremation services were entrusted to the care of the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
