Born in Brooklyn, NY, he had resided in Perth Amboy since 1992.

He was actively serving as a Forward Signal Support, NCO with the U.S. Army National Guard and was presently employed in the Quality Control Dept. with Fuji Film Corp. of Raritan Center in Edison.

Angel was a World of Warcraft and Star Wars fanatic. He loved Dragon Ball Z, Anime, and was an avid PC Gamer, and will always be remembered for "Always being there, for a friend in need." and "As a great son and loving brother. He will be sorely missed."

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Angel Mercado and Belen Irizarry.

Angel leaves behind, his beloved parents, Angel Otero, Jr. and Elizabeth (Perez) Otero of Old Bridge; his dear sister, Sheri M. Otero and his loving brother, Juan C. Otero, both of Ridgewood Queens, NY; his maternal grandmother, Carmen Maria Perez of Vineland; his dear niece, Penellopi Cheri "Penny" Perez; his nephew, Sammuel Elijah "Sammy" Perez; and his special cousins, Taina and Jasmine.

Visitation will be on Saturday and Sunday, August 27 and 28, 2016, from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave. Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Funeral services will be on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Stephen Church, of the Blessed John Paul II Parish, 490 State St., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
