Seymour Friedman, 87, of Fords, passed suddenly on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.

A Brooklyn, NY native, he had resided in Fords for the last 53 years.

He was a graduate of the City College of New York with a degree in Chemistry.

Seymour retired in 1992, after over 14 years as a chemist with Singer-Kearfott of Paterson, prior to that he had been a chemist with the Catalin Corp. in Fords.

He was a member of the American Chemical Society in Washington, DC.

His children and grandchildren were his life.

He is predeceased by two of his sons, Joel (2002) and Steven (2011) Friedman.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 ½ years, Goldie Friedman, his dear son, Barry Friedman and his wife Sandra, of Columbus, OH, his daughter-in-law, Janice Friedman of East Brunswick, his four beloved grandchildren, David, Bradley, Amanda and Drew Friedman, his sister, Shirley Soffer of NY City and his sister-in-law, Yetta Rosenthal of Las Vegas, NV.

Visitation will be on Tuesday morning from 10 am to 11 am. prior to prayer service.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Interment will follow in Wellwood Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
