Obituary

Scott J. Rhodes, 56, a lifelong resident of Edison, passed suddenly at his home on Friday, August 3, 2018.  He was a graduate of Piscataway Vocational Technical High School, with the class of 1980.  He was a former machinist and former driver for T&L Transportation in Metuchen.

He was predeceased by his father, Newton E. Rhodes, and his brother, Bruce Rhodes.  He was the primary and full time caregiver for his beloved mother.

Scott leaves behind, his mother, Dawn J Rhodes; his sisters, Joy McWeeney and her husband, Kevin, of Jackson and Lynn D. Rhodes and her husband, Chris Robbins, of South Plainfield; his two nieces, Autumn Boryeskne and Rachel McWeeney; his long-time girlfriend, Karen D. Scerbo; and his faithful dog, Kodi.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840.

Cremation will follow privately.
