Sandra  "Sandy" Martinez, 56, of Edison, passed peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2017, her 56th birthday, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.

Born in Perth Amboy, she had resided in Edison since 2000.

She had been employed in the Human Resources Department with ADT, and various other companies throughout her career.

She earned her B.A. Degree in Communications, at Rutgers University, New Brunswick Campus.

Cooking and baking were her passion, and she also enjoyed watching old time movie classics.

She is predeceased by her father, Victor Martinez, who died in 1999.

She leaves behind her beloved mother, C. Nilda Martinez of Fords, her siblings, Jose L. Martinez of Fords, Elisa Martinez of Metuchen, Victor M. Martinez, Jr. of Fords and Frances Perez, of Brooklyn, NY, her aunts, Elba Barra of Howell, and Edna Perez of East Brunswick, her uncles, Victor Perez, Sr. of East Brunswick and Louis A. Perez of Fords, her faithful dog "Sam" and her many relatives and friends living here and in Puerto Rico.

She loved each and every one of her friends and they all loved her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 4- 8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Perth Amboy. Cremation will follow, privately.
