Obituary

Salvatore Daniel Puca, 83, of Colonia, passed peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the JFK Medical Center, Edison.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was formerly of Metuchen, NJ and had resided in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Twp., since 1978.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He had been a retired Traffic Specialist for L'Oreal, USA in Clark for 15 years and was formerly employed in the same capacity with Chevron Oil in Perth Amboy for over 30 years.
He was a volunteer firefighter with the Metuchen Fire Dept. and long time basketball referee for local high school games and was a member of the IABBO (the International Association of Basketball Officials), and the Raritan Traffic Club.
He was a communicant of St John Vianney RC Church in Colonia.
He was the husband of the late Linda Puca, who died in November of 2016.
He leaves behind his beloved son, Robert Puca and his wife, Adrianna Gonzalez of Colonia, and his sister, Emmy Wargo of Lancaster, PA.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 3-7 pm at the Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen NJ 08840.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 9:15 am from the funeral home, with a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at St John Vianney RC  Church, Colonia.
Interment will follow in St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
