Ruth M. Murphy, 84, a lifelong resident of, Fords, passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded with the love of her family at her side.

She was an active member of the Holy Rosary and Holy Spirit Senior Citizens Clubs.
She was employed for 10 years as an assembler with Chanel Inc of Piscataway before retiring in 1985. Prior to that she had been employed with RCA of Woodbridge for 25 years.
Ruth leaves behind her beloved husband of 61 yrs., Alfred Murphy, her beloved daughter, Donna Totin and son in law, Walt, with whom she resided, her loving grandson, Brian Totin of NY City, her devoted brothers, Charles and Louis Greiner of Chambersburg, PA, Chester Greiner of Fords and Richard Erickson of Albuquerque, NM, her dear aunt, Helen Lauritzen of Piscataway, also surviving are many several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 1-3 p.m.at the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863, with a service at 3 p.m. Cremation will follow privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105
