Ruth A. (nee: Maloney) Kukan , 87, formerly of Woodbridge, passed peacefully with, her daughters at her side on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the King James Care Center in Chatham.

She was born in Perth Amboy, lived most of her life in Woodbridge and has resided in Chatham for the last 3 yrs.
A graduate of the Jersey City School of Nursing, she was a Registered Nurse with Owens-Illinois of Sayreville, the Jersey City Medical Center, Perth Amboy General Hospital and South Amboy Memorial Hospital for a combined 30 years before retiring in 1985.
She was a communicant of St. James Church in Woodbridge and was a member of the Edison Twp Senior Citizens and Edison Social Club.

She was pre deceased by her husband, Peter Kukan who died in 1997.
Ruth leaves behind her 2 daughters, Holly Graeber and her husband, Robert of South Carolina and Katherine Brizzi and her husband Bruno of Woodbridge, her 4 grandchildren, Peter, Katie, Elizabeth and Bobby and his fiance, Alexa Nobile, her great grandchildren, Nicholas and Kendall, her sister, Jane Swanick of Edison, her niece, Suzanne Steinmann of Westfield and her cousin, Gertrude Sorensen of Woodbridge.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday January 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
Followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church, Woodbridge, interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 4-6 p.m.
