Russell
Cackowski
May 23, 1954 – November 28, 2021
Russell Cackowski, 67, of Fords, passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2021, at home.
Russell was born in Perth Amboy and grew up in Woodbridge Township. He was a graduate of J.P. Stevens High School in Edison. Russell worked for over 40 years for the Edison Township Public Works Department, his last position being a supervisor. When he wasn't at work you could find him at home relaxing or making jokes. Some of Russell's favorite activities were Saltwater fishing, or trying to catch "The Big One" in Fluke and Flounder tournaments. He was also a life member of the Edison Elks Lodge #2487.
Russell is predeceased by his father, Henry J. Cackowski; and his son, Charles John "CJ" Crowe. Russell is survived by his mom, Maryann Cackowski; his daughter Amanda Cackowski; his son, Daniel Crowe and wife, Natalie; his brother Robert Cackowski; his sisters, Carolyn Marlow, Chrisann Ferriss, Kim Pass, and Kathleen Ferriss.; his aunt and uncle, Irene and Stephen Kermondy; his grandchildren, Brielle and Bryce; and his loyal dogs, Nala and Angel. He also leaves behind many extended relatives and friends.
Russell was a great man and he loved to love others. He enjoyed making people smile, and wanted others to smile in his memory to keep his spirit alive.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Please keep the family in your prayers during this difficult time.
