Ruby Pearl DaCosta 95, of Fords, entered into eternal rest Tuesday at her home. She was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica, and has resided in Fords for the past 21 years.
She was a member of The Church of The Good Shepherd.
Ruby was a nurse at St. Mary Infirmary in Jamaica for 28 years before retiring in 1972.
She was predeceased by her husband Kipling Da Costa in 1994. Ruby is survived by her children Kip and his wife Jennifer of Fords and Joan Senior of Brooklyn. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Craig, Jason, Stephanie, Shaun, Kristina, Cory, and Ashley, and seven great grandchildren Tiara, Allen, Ariana, Layla, Amir, Starmel, and Gem, and her sister Millicent Mullins of Duluth, GA.
Visitation is Friday from 5-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 8:30 am. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Linden.
