Rosita L. Schoemer, 82 of Fords New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Rosita was born in Germany on March 26, 1942. She spent the last 55 years in Fords with her family. Working in insurance, Rosita was employed by Anthem Health in Woodbridge, retiring in 2007. She was also a Deacon at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Fords. Along with serving at the church, Rosita enjoyed crocheting and knitting, watching figure skating and the cooking network, and spending time in Lancaster, PA. Rosita loved sitting on her front porch and talking with neighbors. Always with dog treats ready, neighborhood dogs on their walks would steer their owners to her home to visit and receive a treat.

Predeceasing Rosita are her parents, Wilhelm and Charlotte Lessau.

Rosita is survived by her husband Arthur Schoemer; her two sons and their wives, Marc and Lisa Schoemer, and Scott and Meghan Schoemer; her grandchildren, Jacob, Scotty, Joshus, Scott Jr., Savannah, Aiden, and Madison; along with nieces, great-nieces and a great nephew.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, Monday, March 10, 2025,10:00 am. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, 1900 Galloping Hill Rd., Kenilworth.
