Rosemarie Vida, 84, of Jersey City, passed away at Care One in Edison on March 31, 2020.  She was born in Bayonne on July 27, 1935.  Rosemarie was a Homemaker residing in Jersey City since 1964. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Jersey City. She loved all animals and was a frequent and long-term supporter of the Hudson County Animal League. Rosemarie was a strong willed, confident and loving wife and mother. She was never hesitant to share her opinion and to do something daring and out of the ordinary. When Rosemarie was 18, she loved to water ski and she was always very proud to be the only person in her family to have successfully flown an airplane.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Vida, of Jersey City; a daughter, Jasmin Raab, and her husband, Donald, of Metuchen; a son, Jay Vida MD, of Colts Neck; a brother, Andrew Fedors, and his wife, Cynthia, of Washington, DC; and grandchildren.

Cremation was private.  Memorial service will be held at a later date.
