Obituary of Roseanna E. Beck


Roseanna E. Beck, 66, of Parlin, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Beck was born in Perth Amboy to the late Frank and Grace (Reho) Kuplen and had lived in Fords before moving to Parlin six years ago.

Roseanna was a seamstress and avid crocheter. She designed and sold over one hundred afghan patterns, with her work published in multiple books and magazines. She also prepared on-line tutorials to assist others in the hobby, and received numerous communications from people in other states and countries who enjoyed creating afghans based on her colorful designs.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish - Most Holy Rosary Church in Hopelawn.
Surviving are her loving husband, of thirty-eight years, Gustave Beck, and two aunts and one uncle.

Funeral services will be held Friday 9:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:00 am mass at the Good Shepherd Parish- Most Holy Rosary Church in Hopelawn. Entombment will follow in the St. James Mausoleum also in Hopelawn. Visitation hours will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
