Rose Santamaria, 73, of Edison, passed away on March 9, 2015, at JFK Hospital, in Edison. Born on Staten Island, NY, she resided in Perth Amboy before her move to Edison 52 years ago. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1959 and was a communicant of St. Helena's Church. Prior to her retirement, Rose was in Regulatory Affairs at Siemens Medical in Iselin. She loved reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren at her home in Sea Isle City.

Rose was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Zagalik, and her sister, Janet Zagalik. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joseph Santamaria of Edison; her son, Joseph Santamaria and wife, Kerry, of South Plainfield; daughters, Jill Bielinski and husband, Brett, of Edison and Lynn Young and husband, Robert, of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren: Brett, Taylor, Gabrielle, Kamryn, Lauren, and Kacie.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 am Funeral Liturgy at St. Helena's Church. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Hopelawn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
