Rose Del Rosso, 95, of Woodbridge, passed away on February 11, 2019 at JFK Medical Center. Rose was born on July 3, 1923, on a farm in Youngstown Ohio. During the depression her family moved to Hoboken New Jersey for a better life. Rose had an eighth-grade education but held various jobs as a teenager to help the family.
She got married to Michael Del Rosso on March 11, 1944.
Michael had joined the service December 18, 1942 until his injury. March 7, 1946, Michael was honorably discharged from the service.
Her daughter, Beatrice was born in 1947; son, Michael Junior was born in 1951 and the young family moved to a new housing project in Hoboken New Jersey, where we lived for a few years.
In August 1955 my father, Michael read an advertisement in the paper for newly built homes in Woodbridge. They bought one and moved in October 1955. Robert was born October 1, 1958.
Rose was a home maker. Taking a job in 1969 at Revlon in Edison, New Jersey. She worked there for over 18 years retiring in the summer of 1988.
She was a loving generous thoughtful giving considerate respectful person of God.
For anyone who ever came to visit her or even to do some work on her home she prepared a home cooked meal for them.
