Rose Paone, 88 of Hopelawn, passed away on February 27, 2022, at Bayside Manor, Keansburg.  Born in Perth Amboy, Rose had lived in Hopelawn, for 66 years.  Rose was an Administrative Secretary for the Middlesex County Medical Examiners Office for 20 plus years.  She was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish of Most Holy Rosary, Hopelawn.

Rose was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. One of the most important things to her were big gatherings with family and friends for holidays and other special occasions. She enjoyed cooking and baking, making all her traditional dishes, but most of all she loved watching everyone enjoy eating her meals.  No one could resist the aroma from her kitchen. There was always a place setting for anyone that walked in. She was affectionately known as kitchen Rose.

Rose was predeceased by her husband, of 69 years Joseph, who passed away on January 15, 2022.  She was also predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Raffaella Sama, brother, Pasquale Sama and her sisters, Isabella and Concetta Narcisco.

Rose is survived by her four children, Gary Paone and his wife, Michelle, JoAnn Urban and her husband, Greg, Patricia Aochoa and her husband, Brian and Tony Paone and his wife, Carol; six grandchildren, Shauna, Louis, Jamie, Mario, Gina and Matthew; a great-grandchild, Carina; and a sister Yolanda Voss.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Friday, March 4, 2022, from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by entombment in St. James Mausoleum, Hopelawn.  Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM at the funeral home.
