Rose Dambeck of Edison died peacefully Monday, September 12, 2011, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in New York City, she resided in Edison for 57 years. Rose was a co-owner of a confectionary store with her husband, Henry, in Fords for 40 years retiring in 1975. She was a longtime volunteer for the Auxiliary at Roosevelt Hospital, Edison; a member of the Edison Senior Citizens and Edison Senior Social Club.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, Henry Dambeck, in 1989. She is survived by her son, Martin Dambeck and daughter-in-law Suzanne of Brielle; a daughter, Bonnie Paynter and son-in-law Richard of Edison; three grandchildren: Amy Beth Dambeck, Dr. Michael Dambeck, and Scott Laubach and his wife Susan; two great-grandchildren: Joseph and Samantha, her brother, Jack Moskowitz and his wife Dolores of North Brunswick; and three nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Washington Monumental Cemetery in South River.
