Rosario Calero de Eguiguren, 93, of Perth Amboy since 1965, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2020.

Born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Manuel and Isabel Calero, she was one of seven children. She immigrated to the United States in 1965 and settled in Perth Amboy to raise her family. A devoted Christian, she attended the First Baptist Church in Perth Amboy and the Ebenezer Church in Perth Amboy. Rosario was most dedicated to her family and her home; she was passionate about gardening and was most noted for her roses and flowers which she would share with her neighbors and friends.

Rosario is predeceased by her husband, Hugo Eguiguren and her daughter Rosario Hutnick. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Pardo and husband Otoniel and her son, Jacinto Eguiguren and wife Jackie. Cherished grandmother of Tanya Pardo Petrinczyk (William Petrinczyk), R. Kymm Pardo, Jason H. Eguiguren (Maria Perez), Patricia Hollander (Tobias Hollander), Robert F. Hutnick, Jr. (Jessica Donelan Hutnick), Nickolas Eguiguren, and Joshua Eguiguren. Beloved great-grandmother of Jason Eguiguren, Jr., Mikayla Rose Hutnick and Sophia Eguiguren. Devoted aunt of many nieces and nephews who were dear to her, especially Graciela August Pelle who took care of Rosario for the past few years. Rosario is also predeceased by her six siblings, Sara August, Jorge Calero, Manuel Calero, Pedro Calero, Cesar Calero and Dadiva Calero.

Family and friends may visit Sunday, December 6 ^th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy. A Funeral Service will commence at 5:00pm. Family will also gather on Monday, December 7 ^th from 10:00am to 11:00am at the funeral home, followed by a burial service at Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy.
