Rosalie Ziznewski, 90, of Perth Amboy, passed away at Raritan Bay Medical Center on March 4, 2017. She was born in Perth Amboy on December 27, 1926. Rosalie was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1944, and a communicant of Holy Spirit Church. She was employed as an office worker at The Perth Amboy Evening News, Elizabeth Hardware and finally, Perth Amboy General Hospital, where she worked in the business office for over 25 years. She loved visiting Maine every summer for 40 years. She especially enjoyed spending time and vacationing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren,

Rosalie was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Ziznewski in 1982 and two brothers, Mel Smith and William J. Smith Jr.

She is survived by four sons: Joseph Ziznewski, and his wife, Carol; Jay Ziznewski, and his wife, Maureen; Gary Ziznewski, and his wife, Cynthia; and Curt Ziznewski; 11 grandchildren: Emily, Joseph, David, Jennifer, Justin, Kevin, Sara, Gary, Daniel, Carl, and Jonathan; and  7 great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Landon, Olivia, Claire, Reese, Luke and Tyler.

Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Friday at 9 am followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Good Shepherd Parish in Holy Rosary Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Perth Amboy.
