Joseph "Ronnie" Rodrigues, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 in Monroe, New Jersey, surrounded by his beloved family.

Ronnie was born on March 12, 1936 to the late Emmanuel and Josephine Rodrigues in Coonoor, India. Following his emigration to the United States in 1978, Ronnie worked as an Assistant Foreman at Steven’s Products in East Orange, NJ until his retirement in 1994.

Ronnie was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gloria (2015), and his four siblings, Marjorie, Rita, Patrick ("Chicky"), and Belinda.

Surviving Ronnie are his loving children - Cherryl Hodel and her husband Michael, Sandra Marriott and her husband Noel, and Lee Rodrigues and his wife Caron; his cherished grandchildren - Leon Marriott and wife Nicole, Fabian Marriott and wife Lisa, Brendan Hodel and wife Christine, Alex Hodel, and Hollee Rodrigues; his two endearing great-grandchildren - Zachary and Lyla Marriott; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2026 between the hours of 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. James Roman Catholic Church, located at 369 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ 07095, which will be followed by his laying to eternal rest at Hollywood Cemetery, 1621 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ 07083.
