Ronald William Spevack, 80, of Colonia, entered into eternal rest September 25, 2018, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Colonia for the past 35 years.
He attended Vanderbilt University on a full tennis scholarship and graduated in 1960. He was Captain of the Men's Division 1 Tennis Team for Vanderbilt from 1959 to 1960. He graduated from Rutgers Law School in Newark in 1963. He conducted his first formal trial in 1965 and thereafter conducted over 300 jury trials.
Ronald was the Proprietor of the Spevack Law firm in Iselin for the past 54 years. He served as President of the Trial Lawyers Association of Middlesex County, 1984-1985. He was an avid fisherman, world traveler, and loved his yellow retrievers.
Ronald married his wife, Miriam Rodriguez, in 1970 in Puerto Rico. He has one son, David Rodriguez Spevack, who is a 3
rd
generation Rutgers Law School graduate.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 12 Noon at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Memorial Park in Woodbridge.
