Ronald J. Boduck, 73, of Fords section of Woodbridge Township, passed away on March 7th at Care One at the Highlands in Edison, NJ. Ron was born in Perth Amboy, and was raised in Iselin, NJ. He attended St. Cecelia's Catholic School and graduated from Woodbridge High School, Class of 1962. Ron was a Cadet for the Iselin First Aide Squad for many years.
He was employed by Taylor Forge Pipe Works in Somerville, NJ, then continued on a 30 year career with Supermarkets General (Pathmark) in Woodbridge, retiring in 1999. He was a Teamster with local #863.
Ron married his high school sweetheart, Linda Petrin, in 1965. In 1966, he was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1968. Ron and Linda settled down in Fords where they raised their two beloved daughters.
He was an avid car enthusiast who belonged to the Woodbridge Corvette Club since 1987, as well as a member of the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS). He also was a member of the "Do Nothing" Mustang club and enjoyed his many car-loving friends. Ron could always be seen accepting a trophy at many of the local cruise nights and car shows.
Ron was a musician and played the accordion since the young age of 7. He volunteered and collected toiletries for the Veterans. He was a member of the American Legion Post #248 in Colonia. His greatest joy was his family and taking care of his house and cars along with the birds he fed each day. The neighbors will surely miss the sound of his cars turning onto the street.
Ron is predeceased by his dear parents, John and Mary Boduck, and his son-in-law, Joseph Lentini Jr.
He leaves behind his loving wife of over 50 years, Linda Petrin; his daughters, Deborah and grandson Joseph Lentini III of Toms River, and Sharon and her husband Adam Raucci and grandson Aiden James of NY. He also leaves behind his younger brother, Eugene Boduck and his wife, Veronica, of Iselin. He will be missed by his family, cousins, and his many friends
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 12th at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 10 am Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace R C church. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday from 3-8 pm.
