Romelio Gutierrez, 80, of Perth Amboy, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson. He was born in Cuba and had resided in Perth Amboy most of his life.

He retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator at US Metals in Carteret after many years.

Romelio is survived by his wife, Niurka Diaz Gutierrez; his daughters, Nancy Gutierrez and Denise Gutierrez of Perth Amboy; and his grandchildren, Isaiah Hardeman and Isabel Gutierrez. He is also survived by his siblings, Santiago Gutierrez, Concepcion Morales, Dayse Chaviano, Freddy Gutierrez, all of Perth Amboy, and Antonio Gutierrez of Mercerville.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015, at 11 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6 pm.
