Obituary

Our beloved brother, Rodney Louis Sanford, was born on Aug 27 th 1970 to Terry Ann Grubbs and Anthony (Tony Rowe) Davis in Orange NJ. God called Rodney home on May 3 rd 2020.

Rodney received his education through East Orange High School, where he was an active member of the Swim Team, where he went on to win a State Championship and graduated later that year.

Rodney was a dedicated, hard working man. He was a previous employee of Good Year, Gemeni Sound, Sleepy's, Quad Medical Trans, and Premier Dye Casting Company in Avenel, NJ.

He was a proud faithful member of Guiding Star Church UHCA, Roselle, NJ. Where he served on the Security ministry. He was proud serving his church family.

He loved his wife, family, the New York Giants, and we all know he loved his Cadillac.

Rodney was predeceased by his step-father, Charles (Chuck) Winston, his mother-in-law Patricia Viola Baker, his sister, Tamisha (Meesha) Sanford, his uncle, Kevin Sanford, and aunt, Barbra Sanford.

Rodney leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Christina Marie Sanford of Carteret, NJ, his mother Terry Ann Grubbs of Carteret, NJ, father Anthony (Tony Rowe) Davis of E. Orange NJ, a sister, Shanda Bass of Carteret, NJ, a step-daughter, Jaywanah Baker of Carteret NJ, two step-sons, Andie Baker, Marcos Mercardo of Carteret, NJ, four nephews, Robert (Dewey) Sanford of Carteret, NJ, Dashawn Sanford, Davis Tharrington, Davonie (Woppy) Tharrington, and Bashir Sanford of Philadelphia, PA, a niece Shanyia Fuller of Philadelphia, PA, and 8 grandchildren, Yaniyah, Daniel, Elani, Romeo, Ya'Syn, Asaad, Aryeh, and Kiing, and a host of brother and sister-in-laws, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He will forever be missed.
