Robert Walsh, 65, of Edison died suddenly on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at home. Born June 28, 1947 in Perth Amboy, he lived most of his life in Edison. Bob was a retired Fireman from the Township of Edison at Raritan Engine Company #2 on Amboy Avenue. He was an active communicant of Our Lady of Peace and served as an usher. He graduated from J.P. Stevens High School, Class of 1965 and Our Lady of Peace Elementary School. He owned RAW Trucking Co. in Edison and worked at Flynn and Son Funeral Homes.
Surviving are his son, Robert Walsh and his wife, Tammy, of Lake Harmony, PA; daughter, Deanna Walsh of Lake Harmony, PA; his companion, Pat Trobilger; and four grandchildren: Kayla, Hannah, Philip, and Arianna.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 5, 2012, at 10:00 am from Flynn and Son Funeral Homes, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will be in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, November 4, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the funeral home. Members of the Edison Fire Department will meet Sunday evening at 7:00 pm for services.
