Robert Medina Sr., 85, of Hopelawn, passed away on February 16, 2020, at Roosevelt Care Center, Edison.  Born in Jersey City, he lived in Hopelawn from many years before moving to Toms River in the 1990's and then recently relocated back to Hopelawn.  He retired 15 years ago as a Building Maintenance Worker for Parker Nursing Home, Picataway.  He had also worked for the Railroad. He served his country proudly in the Air Force during Vietnam.  He was a Woodbridge Little League Baseball Coach and Yankees fan.

Robert was predeceased by his first wife, Helen Milewski, and his sisters, Gloria and Rosalyn.

Robert is survived by his three sons: Robert Medina Jr. and daughter-in-law, Lisa; Michael Anthony Medina and his companion, Tiffany Hospice; and Joseph Raymond Medina and daughter-in-law, Daniella; 11 grandchildren: Joseph, Robert, Dominic, Derek, Sarah, Anthony, Michael, Vincent, Gino, Salvatore and Angelia; two great-grandchildren, Vivian and Isabella; three brothers: Raymond, Richard and Louis; and his ex-wife, Eleanor Medina.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by a 11:30 AM prayer service. Interment will be in NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
