Obituary

Robert A. Nagy, 69 of Fords, passed away at his home on November 21, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Fords all of his life.
Bob had an amazing career with Snap-On Tools for 42 years before retiring in 2010. He was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church and a member of Our Lady of Peace Knights of Columbus. Bob was an avid NASCAR fan, a hockey fan of both youth and adult leagues, and the Blackhearts CrossFit Adult League of Metuchen.
Bob was an extremely dedicated and hard working man, but most of all, he had tremendous love and pride for his family. One of his greatest joys was watching his sons Mark and Kyle play hockey. There was always a seat reserved for him at the games. He was so proud of Mark's gym, Blackhearts CrossFit, and he was its biggest promoter. He had a never ending supply of friends who loved him. He looked forward to Tony Rinaldi's daily check-in phone calls. He could always count on Steve Kovach for an extra helping hand. Paul Wise was a constant source of support and encouragement. Bob always looked forward to his Friday visits with Butch Marchand. He was known as "The Nag" by all of his Snap-On family. He had a sense of humor like no other, and memories of him will leave a smile on our faces and a hole in our hearts.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, Emery (Jim) and Mary (Petrick) Nagy. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Patricia (Hosey) Nagy, his three sons Robert S. and his wife Jill, Mark A. and his fiancé Colleen, and Kyle J. all of Fords, a granddaughter, Chloe and his sister, Patricia Schuck and her husband Donald of Old Bridge, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9am, Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords with a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Good Shepherd Parish at Holy Rosary Church. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery. Visitaion will be Monday 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
