Private cremation services were held for Robert T. Meyers, 87, of Metuchen, who passed away on Tuesday September 11, 2012. He was born and raised in Passaic, and has resided in Metuchen for over 30 years. He was a Veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy Sea Bees. He was employed as an agent supervisor with Braniff International Airways of Newark for over 14 yrs. before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the VFW Post 3117 of Edison and the American Legion Post 1000 in Trenton.

He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine (Knox) Meyers who died in 2000, and his son, James P. Meyers who died in 2008. He is survived by his son, Robert T. Meyers, Jr. and his wife, Angelina of Monroe Twp., 3 daughters, Lynne S. Nowak and her husband, Joseph of Hazlet, Katheen A. Vanden Eynden of Ohio, (Colleen) Kelly Vickers of Metuchen, and his 8 grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen.
