Robert Mazur, 75, passed away on November 5, 2023 at Spring Creek Healthcare Center in Perth Amboy.
Rob was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy serving from 1966-1972. Before entering active duty, he attended service training at the US Naval Training Center in Bainbridge, MD for Radio and Morse Code Operations. He was retired from Continental Resources where he worked as an Account Manager. A resident of Woodbridge Township at the time of his passing, Rob was a parishioner of St. James Roman Catholic Church.
As a New York native, Rob was a sports enthusiast with a special love for the Mets. He and his brother John were season ticket holders at Shea Stadium and enjoyed numerous games together over the years. He had an uncanny memory and quickly became the "family historian." He was very devoted to his family and cherished the times they spent together whether it was for a holiday, birthday or family get-together. His loyalty to them was unwavering. He was a kind, loving, and thoughtful soul and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know him.
Rob was preceded in death by his father Michael J. Mazur and numerous other loving family members. He is survived by his dear mother Theresa Mazur, brother John, his wife Lauren; nieces Katelyn Dowd, her husband Kevin, Sarra Piscitelli, her husband Luigi, and Paige Mazur. He is also survived by his grand-nieces and grand-nephews Noelle, Sawyer, and Cooper.
Friends may call at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 9:00am until the beginning of the funeral prayers at 10:00am. The Memorial Mass will follow at 10:30am in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Fords.
