Robert A. Maretz, 98, of Parlin, passed away in the early hours of September 17, 2021, on his 98th  birthday. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. Robert was an Accountant and Personnel Manager at  AP Green Refractories in Woodbridge, retiring in 1983.

Robert was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Maretz, in 2005.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Maretz and his wife, Gail, of Monroe Twp; and Jeff Maretz and his wife, Kathy, of South Port, NC; grandchildren: Jesse, Brian, and Erica; and a sister, Dorothy Jordan, of Palm Harbor, FL. Robert took great comfort in the company of his family, friends and his dog, Nala.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 12:15 pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords.

Robert was a contributor to many charities. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords or any Humane Society of your choice.
