Robert D. Hodes, 78, of Iselin, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at his home.

Born in Perth Amboy, Robert resided his entire life in Iselin.

Robert, was a Detective for 20 years with the Woodbridge Township Police Department, retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Iselin Knights of Columbus Council # 3639 and American Legion Post 248 Colonia.

Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Cholar), his son, Robert, his daughters, Tracey Wagner and her husband Edward of Colonia, Carey Hodes of Fords, Tammy Decker of Perth Amboy, daughter-in-law, Jill Osborne and his grandchildren: Steven, Tara, Keri, Lucas, Ronald and Jake.

A private cremation will take place.
