Robert Falk, 90, of Lakewood, passed away at home on August 7, 2015.  Born in Fulda, Germany, he was  formerly a resident of Fords having moved to Lakewood 12 years ago.  He was a former member of Temple Adath Israel in Woodbridge and one of the Founders of Congregation Beth Sholom in Iselin.  He was involved with the Diabetes Club and Jewish Club at Four Seasons and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII.

Robert was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Berg) Falk, in 2014 and his sister, Rosel Strauss.

He is survived by his daughter, Alice Sherry and her husband, Ronald, of Marlboro; two grandchildren, Michael Sherry and Jeffrey Sherry and his wife, Pauline Joy ("PJ"); two great-grandchildren, Allison and Rebecca; sister-in-law, Myrna Berg; two cousins, Joan Siehs and Larry Falk; many nieces and nephews; his caretakers, Nicole Van Pelt and Debbie Beckles; and his long-time friend, Ilse Klebe.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ.  Shiva will be observed on Sunday following the services and Monday thru Wednesday after 1 pm at the daughter's residence in Marlboro.  Funeral services have been entrusted to Flynn and Son Funeral Homes, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
