Rita M. Ramirez passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Atlantic Care Medical Center in Galloway Twp, NJ. She was born in Brooklyn, moved to Avenel, Fords, then lived in Little Egg Harbor for more than 35 years.

She was a graduate of Colonia High School “Class of 1971” and worked as a supervisor for the Garden State Parkway for over 35 years.

Rita was truly kind and generous and deeply loved her family. Her positive and happy nature brightened the lives of everyone she knew.

She was predeceased by her parents, Manuel and Luisa Ramirez. Her loving siblings, Manuel Ramirez Jr and Eva Negron, sister-in-law Mary Ellen Ramirez, her nephews, Julio Negron, Manuel Ramirez III, Jesse Negron, Matthew Ramirez, and all of her great nephews and nieces as well as Diane Tomash whom she considered her sister will miss her terribly. She loved to gather with the family and reveled in the loving chaos. She leaves a hole in the lives of her family and friends that cannot be filled. She loved profoundly and was loved in return. She is missed.

Family and friends may visit at the Flynn and son / Mitruska Funeral Home on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 4-7 pm. A funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 11:30 am with interment following at Cloverleaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge.
