Obituary

Richard T. "Dick" Allen, 79, of Edison, passed peacefully at his home, after a brief illness, on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
Born on March 24,1942, in Staten Island, NY, he had resided in Edison for the last 47 years.
He received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Wagner College, Staten Island, NY.
He proudly served his country as a Viet Nam Veteran, serving with the US Army.
He was a retired self employed Marine Surveyor in Metuchen for many years.
A devout NJ Devils Hockey and Rutgers Football fan, Dick was an avid bird lover as well.
He was predeceased by his dear brother, Kenneth Allen.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Linda A. Allen, his two beloved sons, Michael Allen and his wife Heather, of Kendall Park, and David Allen and his wife Jackie of Metuchen. and his 5 cherished grandchildren; Lauren, Brooke, Brady, Brynn and Madelyn.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 12, 2021,  from 5 to 8 pm at the Flynn and Son /Koyen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 8:30 am from the Flynn & Son/ Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave Metuchen NJ 08840, followed by a 9 am Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen.
Interment will follow in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
