Richard Guay, 88, of Sebastian, FL died Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Richard was born and raised in Paterson, NJ to the late John Guay and Eleanor Bouchier. After graduating high school from St. Joseph's High School, he furthered his education and attended Seton Hall University in South Orange and Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Richard was an honorably discharged veteran serving in the United States Navy. Richard was in sales for the sheet metal industry and a lifelong member of Local 25 of the New Jersey State Building & Construction Trades Council before his retirement. Later in his life he enjoyed long walks on Spring Lake boardwalk and spending time on the beach. Richard was a devoted communicant of St. Mary R.C. Church in Perth Amboy. In 2018 he moved to Florida. He was a dedicated husband and loving father, and took much joy in raising his children and grandson.

Richard is predeceased by his beloved wife of 43 years, Elaine Guay; his siblings, Lorraine Mamarella and Brother Emmanuel Guay, OFM. He is survived by his children, Lisa Marie Guay, of Florida, and Richard Guay of Texas; his grandson, Adam Guay, of Texas; his niece Maureen Mamarella, of New York; his nephew Michael Mamarella and wife Tracy, of New Jersey; along with other extended relatives and dear friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. A prayer service will begin in the funeral home starting at 11:30 a.m.
