Richard Regan, 63, passed away at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick after an extensive battle with mesothelioma.

Richard was Born in Perth Amboy, the youngest of five children to the late Robert and Virginia Griffith Regan.  After completing his apprenticeship, he began his trade as an electrician and a member of the IBEW Local #3 in New York for the last 36 years.  He married his love, Maryellen Campbell in 1989, and they eventually settled in Piscataway to raise their three sons.  In addition to being a wonderful family man, Richard valued the time he had riding on his Harley with his friends, and spend some time going fishing.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother Robert Regan Jr.  He will be dearly missed by his wife of 34 years: Maryellen Campbell; his sons: Ryan, his wife Erin, Rick, his wife Courtney, and Joseph; grandchildren: Elizabeth and Jack; siblings: Susan Spears, her husband Bob, Virginia Rossman, her husband Andy, Paul, his wife Cathy; his step-mother Margaret Regan; along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, and where funeral services will begin on Wednesday, August 17, 2023 at 9:45am.  A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30am in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 501 New Market Rd., Piscataway.  Cremation will take place privately.
