Richard Stanley Poniatowski, 83, of Edison, NJ, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born on July 21, 1942, in Perth Amboy, Richard grew up in the Parlin section of South Amboy. He served in the United States Air Force and later worked for several years in the aerospace industry in Quality Assurance.

Richard was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Fords. He enjoyed motorcycling and spent many years as an avid rider.

He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Anna Poniatowski.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Poniatowski; his daughters, Jocelyn Seals and her husband Douglas of Clinton, NJ, and Gena Fonseca and her husband Michael of Middletown, NJ; and his four grandchildren—Ryan, Hayley, Leo, and Vincent.

He will be remembered with love by his family and friends.
