Richard Holzhauer, 72, of Edison, died January 22, 2012, at JFK Hospital in Edison. He was born in Fanwood, NJ on July 12,1939, and was a resident of Edison for the last 10 years. Richard was the Maintenance Director for the Middlesex Regional Education Commission. He was a member of the Middlesex Board of Education and a member of the Clara Barton American Legion. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and was a recovery driver for the Home News Tribune.

Richard is survived by his wife, Barbara Holzhauer (nee Henning), of Edison; 3 brothers: David Holzhauer of Tampa, FL, Harry Holzhauer of CA, and Ernie Holzhauer of Brooksville, FL.

Cremation services were private. Donations in Richard's name may be made to The American Diabetes Association Research Foundation, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
