Richard David Egan, 57, of Conshohocken, PA, passed away peacefully at his home. He was born in New Brunswick, was raised in Old Bridge, and was recently of Philadelphia before moving to Conshohocken.
Richard was a Computer Programmer for over 30 years. He was a graduate of Madison Central High School, in Old Bridge, and Rutgers University in New Brunswick. He was a volunteer at Pennsylvania SPCA in Philadelphia, where he fostered many animals.
Richard was predeceased by his mother, Helen Birmingham Egan in 1997.
He is survived by his father, Frank Egan of West Windsor; his siblings: Patricia Burley of Rockaway; Barbara Egan Maake and her husband, Guy, of Allentown, PA; Maureen Egan of South Brunswick; Thomas Egan and his wife, Heidi, of Colonia; his nieces and nephews: Kristine Infante and her husband, Patrick; James Egan and his wife, Diana; Kelly Egan; Justin Burley; Ryan, Connor, Tara, and Luke Maake; and great-niece, Scarlet Egan.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019, at 9:45 am at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, followed by a 10:15 am Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen. Visitation is Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Friday, August 30, 2019, from 9:00 am to 9:45 am.
Contributions in memory of Richard may be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA in Philadelphia.
