Rhoda Friedman, 74, of Edison, NJ passed away peacefully on December
24th
with her loving family by her side. Born, Rhoda Wilma Spevack on August
2, 1938 in Perth Amboy, she was a graduate of Perth Amboy HS and
received her bachelors degree from Temple University in 1960.
Thereafter, she raised her family in East Brunswick while having a long
career as a paralegal secretary in Middlesex County. Rhoda is survived
by her son, Barry Friedman and his wife Lisa, of Westfield, daughter
Marla Zucker of Warren, grandchildren, Parker, Carly, Aidan & Emma,
twin
brother, Ronald Spevack and his wife, Miriam of Colonia, sister, Pamela
Spevack of Oakland, CA, and nephew, David Spevack of New Brunswick.
Rhoda will always be loved and remembered for her devotion and
inspiration to family and friends. She was a voracious reader, lover of
Blues and Jazz music. Rhoda also had a passion for creative cooking.
She played an integral role at Temple Beth Mordecai, as lead volunteer
and congregate connector. Rhoda should be remembered as being Jersey
strong in every sense.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday,
December 27th, 10am at the Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave,
Fords,
NJ. The family will sit shiva at Marla's home on Thursday 1 p.m. - 8 p.m., Friday 1p.m. - 5, & Saturday 4 p.m. - 9 p.m.
