Reverend Herbert Wayne Brady, 79, of North Brunswick, entered eternal rest on August 23, 2023.

He was born on May 21, 1944, in McConnellsburg, PA to the late Oakley and Marie (n. Cutchall) Brady.

Wayne loved interacting with the students during his 24 years as an associate professor and department head at Middlesex County College.  His own education earned him 5 degrees as he was a lifelong learner. Upon his ordination as a Lutheran Pastor in 1995, he served the congregation of Grace Lutheran Church in Perth Amboy with his  kind and gentle spirit for 19 years until retirement in 2014.

Wayne's true joy was his family and their activities.  He tried to never miss their games and events.  He could be seen watching and encouraging with his ever present hat on his head.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Alva Newcomer and Sylvia Bragunier. Reverend Wayne is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jane Z. Brady of North Brunswick, his two sons: Peter Wayne Brady, and his wife Jacki, of West Palm Beach, FL, and Ethan Wayne Brady of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and his two grandchildren: Michael Wayne and Rebecca Anne.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, September 30, 2023.  Visitation will be held at 10:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 445 Old Post Road, Edison, NJ followed by an 11:00 am service.
