Renee Ann (DeMarco) Soto, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at her home in Monroe Township with family at her side after a valiant fight with breast cancer.

Born and raised in Orange, NJ, Renee was the daughter of the late Tony and Theresa DeMarco. After marrying Mario Soto, they settled in Edison where she became a stay-at-home mom, working on raising their three children.  She was an active participant with her daughters in Girl Scouts. She was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Fords, where she also was a teacher for their CCD program.

In addition to her parents, Renee was also preceded in death by by her brother Jon DeMarco, and her husband Mario in 2021. She is survived by her three children: Stacie Matyi, Stephen Soto, his wife Susan, and Amie Soto; grandchildren: Stephen Soto, Matthew Soto, Brittney Soto, Austin Vernuccio, Hunter and Hailey Matyi; one great-granddaughter: Avery Lynn; and her brother Tony DeMarco. She is also survived by her three beloved cats.

Cremation will take place privately. A celebration of Renee's life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, Fords.
