Raymond River, 83, of Fords, passed away on June 21, 2021. Raymond was born in Perth Amboy on February 9, 1938. He served in the United States Marines for three years earning a "Good Conduct Medal."  Following his service in the Marines, Ray was hired by, what was then known as, New Jersey Bell, and worked as a lineman until he retired in April 1998 from, what is now, Verizon.

Ray had been an active member of the KOBC boat club.  He loved fishing; especially deep sea fishing.  When Ray wasn't fishing, he enjoyed woodworking, refinishing his 1956 MG and visiting Pennsylvania where he would go quad riding with his grandson.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Jane River.  Raymond is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Bojnowski and her husband, David, and his grandson, Anthony Bojnowski.

Visitation for Raymond will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords NJ 08863. Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at 11:30 AM, at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
