Raymond Grimes, 72, of Menlo Park Terrace died January 4, 2011, at JFK Hopsital in Edison.
Born in Scranton, PA, he grew up in Harrison and has resided in Menlo Park Terrace since 1954. Raymond was an Electronic Technician for Bendix Aviation in Teterboro. He was a graduate of Harrison High School, Class of 1955. He was a member of the
Woodbridge Billards Club. Raymond was an animal lover. He served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, June Grimes, who died in 2001; his brother, James Grimes, and his sister, Atlee Haran.
Surviving family members include: his daughter, Laurie Ann Piccola and her husband Michael of Menlo Park Terrace; his son, Raymond Grimes and his wife Jerri Mae of Reddington; three grandchildren: Michael Piccola, and Alexander and Danielle Grimes. He is also survived by two dogs: Puppy and Mouse.
Funeral services will be on Friday evening, January 7, 2011, at 8:30 pm from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Friends may call on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Family will gather Saturday at the funeral home at 10:00 am to process to Greenwich Cemetery in Stewartsville, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah.
